About Mauri
Although I grew up in the 70s in Zurich, Switzerland, my earliest memories of food are linked to Italy. At home, the rissole smelled of nutmeg, tomatoes and parsley, and were certainly not served with aromatic seasoning. Like in all Italian families, our life revolved around mother's kitchen table. When the food parcels arrived from our paternal parents from Lecce, we enjoyed meals that were almost sacred: olio d’oliva, salsiccia piccante and origano. I truly believe that the Italian ingredients and foods were the reason why I opened a restaurant later.
At my restaurant, I want you to be excited about Italian specialities and to awaken your passion for home-made dishes.
I look forward to you visiting Mauri's Ristorante La Rocca and wish you Buon Appetito!
